Cup dates confirmed for Brisbane clubs

Dates and venues are now confirmed for Brisbane zone PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland clubs' first round of Westfield FFA Cup qualifying matches.

The Westfield FFA Cup Brisbane Zone Qualifying Round 5 ties, drawn last week, are the entry point of six PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland clubs into this year’s knock-out competition.

Sixteen clubs remain in Brisbane Zone Qualifying, with the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland clubs joined by ten clubs who compete in Football Brisbane community competitions.

Early season surprise packets Western Pride will be the first to test their mettle in the cup against local rivals Ipswich Knights on Wednesday, April 22 at Eric Evans Oval.

Moreton Bay United will also face off against third-tier Trophy Superstore Premier League opposition when they host Taringa Rovers at Wolter Park later the same night.

The two remaining clashes are all PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland affairs, with Perry Park hosting the match between Brisbane Strikers and Brisbane City on Tuesday, April 28.

While the following night sees Redlands United host Olympic FC at Cleveland Showgrounds.

The winners of the eight Westfield FFA Cup Brisbane Zone Qualifying Round 5 matches will proceed to the next stage.

Home and away teams will be drawn at random in subsequent rounds of Brisbane Zone Qualifying, with the final two teams proceeding to the national stage of the competition in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32.

They will be joined in the Round of 32 by two non-metropolitan Queensland clubs representing the north and the south of the state.
